Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions:

  1. Cut the cauliflower into uniform, bite-sized pieces. Note: Use a paper towel to pat them dry if they're damp from washing.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, drizzle the olive oil over the florets and toss thoroughly until evenly coated.
  3. Add the sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder to the bowl. Toss again until the cauliflower is evenly coated in the seasoning.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Note: Preheating ensures the sizzle starts the moment the food hits the basket.
  5. Spread the seasoned florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  6. Air fry for 12–15 minutes.
  7. At the 7 minute mark, shake the basket vigorously or flip the pieces with tongs. Note: This prevents one side from burning while the other stays raw.
  8. Cook until the edges are charred and the florets are nutty and toasted.
