Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) Apple Pie Filling
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 0.5 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) Spice Cake Mix
  • 0.75 cup Unsalted Butter, chilled and sliced into thin squares
  • 0.5 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 0.25 tsp Flaky Sea Salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour both cans of apple pie filling into an ungreased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the filling into an even layer, ensuring apples reach the corners. Stir in the vanilla extract and a light dusting of cinnamon directly in the dish.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry spice cake mix over the fruit layer. Do not mix; use the back of a spoon to level the surface without packing it down.
  4. Distribute the thin butter slices across the entire surface of the cake mix, ensuring maximum coverage to prevent dry patches.
  5. Top with chopped pecans and a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbling around the edges.
