Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp superfine sugar
- 1 tsp fresh lemon zest
- 2 oz premium Citron Vodka
- 0.75 oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 0.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions:
- Combine 2 tbsp superfine sugar and 1 tsp lemon zest on a small plate, rubbing them together with your fingers to release the lemon oils.
- Run a lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled martini glass, then dip the rim into the lemon-sugar mixture at a 45-degree angle. Set aside to set.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz Citron Vodka, 0.75 oz Cointreau, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup.
- Fill the shaker 3/4 full with fresh ice and secure the lid.
- Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frost-cold and the drink is properly aerated.
- Double strain the mixture through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh sieve into the prepared martini glass.
