Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Denizen Merchant’s Reserve Rum
- 0.5 oz Orange Curaçao
- 1.0 oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 0.5 oz Orgeat syrup
- 0.25 oz Rich simple syrup (2:1)
- 1 Large sprig of fresh mint
- 1 Spent lime shell
Instructions:
- Fill your rocks glass or Tiki mug with crushed ice to chill it while you prepare the drink components.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the 1.5 oz rum, 0.5 oz orange curaçao, 1.0 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz orgeat, and 0.25 oz rich simple syrup.
- Add approximately one cup of crushed ice to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled.
- Pour the entire contents of the shaker, including the ice, into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with a large sprig of fresh mint and the spent lime shell placed face down to resemble a tropical island.
