Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Denizen Merchant’s Reserve Rum
  • 0.5 oz Orange Curaçao
  • 1.0 oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 0.5 oz Orgeat syrup
  • 0.25 oz Rich simple syrup (2:1)
  • 1 Large sprig of fresh mint
  • 1 Spent lime shell

Instructions:

  1. Fill your rocks glass or Tiki mug with crushed ice to chill it while you prepare the drink components.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the 1.5 oz rum, 0.5 oz orange curaçao, 1.0 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz orgeat, and 0.25 oz rich simple syrup.
  3. Add approximately one cup of crushed ice to the shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled.
  5. Pour the entire contents of the shaker, including the ice, into the prepared glass.
  6. Garnish with a large sprig of fresh mint and the spent lime shell placed face down to resemble a tropical island.
