Ingredients:

  • 180 ml (6 oz) lemon-lime soda
  • 30 ml (1 oz) ginger ale
  • 30 ml (1 oz) grenadine syrup
  • 15 ml (0.5 oz) fresh lime juice
  • 3 maraschino cherries
  • 1 orange slice
  • 1 cup high-quality ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Fill a highball glass to the brim with dry, fresh ice cubes to ensure the drink stays cold without immediate dilution.
  2. Pour the fresh lime juice over the ice, followed by the lemon-lime soda and ginger ale. Pour slowly down the side of the glass to preserve the carbonation.
  3. Slowly pour the grenadine directly over the center of the drink. Allow it to sink to the bottom to create an ombré effect. Use a bar spoon to gently lift the syrup from the bottom exactly once.
  4. Skewer three maraschino cherries and place across the rim. Garnish with an orange slice and serve immediately.
