Ingredients:
- 12 oz (340g) fresh cranberries
- ½ cup (110g) packed brown sugar
- ½ cup (120ml) apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp (30ml) orange juice
- 1 tsp (2g) orange zest, finely grated
- ½ tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp (0.5g) ground ginger
- ⅛ tsp (0.7g) salt
- ¼ tsp (0.5g) ground cloves
Instructions:
- Combine the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and orange juice in the saucepan. Set the heat to medium and stir constantly until the sugar has completely dissolved and the liquid begins to bubble gently.
- Stir in the orange zest, cinnamon, ginger, salt, and cloves. Once the spices are fragrant (about 30 seconds), add the fresh cranberries and increase the heat slightly to bring the mixture back to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer uncovered for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries burst and the sauce transforms into a thick, mahogany-colored glaze that coats the back of a spoon.
