Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh asparagus spears
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Wash the asparagus and pat them completely dry. Trim the woody ends by snapping them naturally or slicing about 1–2 inches off the bottom.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the asparagus spears with olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the spears in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Immediately upon removing from the oven, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot spears and optional lemon juice for brightness.
